Topic:	Public waterways in NE arkansas?

Im a student at auburn university, and some friends and I will be hunting for about a month straight from mid december til mid january. We are going to hunt public land in kansas for a while, but will be coming back to Dave Donaldson for a few days before heading back for christmas day and returning when the season reopens. I have been hunting up there since I was about 5, but I was wondering if there are any public waters ie larger rivers etc near there. In southern arkansas we often hunt the mornings in the timber, then go out on the arkansas river and shoot divers in the afternoons. Just wondering if there are any waterways large enough to hold divers in the pocahontas, walnut ridge area, or within an hours drive. thanks
